6 Places To Grab Food Near The Bozeman Airport

A front facing shot of the coffe bar at Cafe M located in Bozeman, MT. One can see the tables of the local cafe and the available coffee/pastry options.

Traveling is stressful enough. There is: the packing, the security lines, the boarding, the ticking clock between connections, the delays, the confirmations. The last thing you want to think about is food and being stuck in an airport with lackluster options.

When you arrive or depart from the Bozeman Yellowstone Airport, the best place to get food near the airport is in Belgrade. This small, working town is only 5 minutes from the airport. I mean that – I timed the distance from the arrival pickups to Downtown Belgrade and it took 4 minutes and 24 seconds. Depending on your situation, Belgrade has a handful of restaurants and bakery options to suit your needs. If I had to guess though, you are looking for grab & go food options as you will be traveling to or from Big Sky, Bozeman, Manhattan or anywhere else in the Gallatin Valley.

Menus & More Information About This Local List

Duke's Cafe and Bakery

My personal favorite place to grab a bite is Duke’s Cafe and Bakery. This local spot is taking a thoughtful approach to running its business through locally sourcing ingredients, upcycling and recycling where possible. Enjoy a pastry, salad or panini inside that features an antique, vintage vibe. There are a few outdoor seats for enjoying a cup of coffee. One can purchase any of the art hanging on the walls or from the small gift shop table.

Cafe M

Cafe M has great, local energy. When you step inside the Belgrade location, you’ll see a lowkey industrial-like coffee shop. There is an orange accent wall with a tiled ceiling that has a trail map of the Four corners to Yellowstone. The menu here is pretty straight forward. Black coffee, americanos, chai latters and frappes. Cafe M brews beans from ghost town roasters so the beans will vary depending on when you go.

This coffee shop has all its food made for grab & go. Choose from oatmeal, wraps & sandwiches, or pastries for your something to eat before heading up to Big Sky, Bozeman or back to the airport. Select food will be heated up in the microwave if you ask.

It’s highly recommended to order online for pick up or call ahead to avoid the lunch rush. Heros also offers breakfast subs in case you are visiting them in the earlier hours of the day.

Cafe Havana

Located just off Belgrade’s Main Street, Cafe Havana serves light bites and drinks. The Latin inspired menu may be what attracts you to this diner but it’ll be the drink menu that is a pleasant surprise. Cafe Havana offers a handful of signature coffees like a Grasshopper (Coffee, Mint & Chocolate) or Snow Tiger (White Chocolate Creaminess).  The staff is friendly and happy to service a dine in or take out order. Call ahead to have your order ready for you upon arrival. It’s advised to park just North of Main Street, closer to E Central Ave, to walk to this diner.

 Frequently Asked Food Questions

Question Answer
I’m driving into Bozeman after my flight arrives, should I still go to Belgrade for food?

Bozeman is about 20 minutes, or 10 miles, from the airport. It’s not too far so if you can wait that time, then you can head into Bozeman for food. If you’re hangry, then I recommend grabbing something in Belgrade.

Call ahead to pick up a salad, sandwich, or soup from Biankinis on your way into Bozeman.

How early should I go to the airport if I want to pick up food? It will take you an additional 20 minutes to pick up food. I highly recommend calling the establishment ahead of time to reduce the amount of wait time. As far as the actual airport, I recommend arriving at the airport no later than 1 hour before your flight. Security can be quick but sometimes you will be catching a flight during peak time and the general security line can get backed up.
What food options are available at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport? Very few. You’ll find two main restaurants that offer fast casual dining. There is a Mexican spot that is open for limited hours. The remaining food options are snack items from vending machines or the gift shops. Bozeman’s airport is still under renovation and should have more options in the future. Learn more about the options.
Are there any grovery stores in the area that I can shop before driving up to Big Sky? Yes there are. Browse that list under my "Things to Know Before Driving Up to Big Sky."
